Düsseldorf, Part II

Today I really didn’t do much but walk around and explore. Though I did go to AquaZoo far in the North of the city, a big aquarium with lots of displays. Or so I thought. Acccording to my research it was closed for refurbishment until Spring 2015. And I found out when I got there…it still is closed. Boo.

Though walking down the main shopping boulevard, a very upscale and fancy shopping center with a ‘Dessert Restaurant’, a full service sit down restaurant, where 95% of the stuff on the very extensive menu is all kinds of fancy and fruity gelato dessserts. Mmmm…enormous chocolatey chocolate shake. The last page was grilled sandwhiches.

The rest was walking and going through enormous department stores, and small gift shops and checking out the rocky shores on the other side of the Rhine. The last thing on my checklist was an art museum, also closed for refurbishment. Didn’t tick anything of my checklist today, but I’m not disappointed.

Found on the side of a bank. It reads something along the lines of "This fairy tale probably will never ever come true. Life teaches you to be smart and save."
