Another day trip to the Rhine riverside town of Koblenz, which almost tops off just about the last possible town on the Rhine River town that I could possibly visit, or go through.

We took a train to the town of Koblenz, and simply walked the pleasant streets. No museums or palaces or anything fancy this time. There is a neat cable car that takes you over the river to the giant fortress of Ehrenbreitstein, but unfortnately it only operated late in the afternoon for a special holiday event.

I went off to to visit the massive monument dedicated to Kaiser Wilhelm I, and after returning walked through downtown Frankfurt to check out the markets at night time. And Frankfurt certainly has a very active nightlife.
