Due to some misfortune planning the trip, we had to fly into Nuremberg, instead of the preferable choice of Vienna, we took a speedy train direct from Nuremberg to Vienna (which of course was delayed, because Deutsche Bahn.)
We made it to our hotel, and spent most of the afternoon/evening wandering around the old town. And it is cold, cold, cold! Currently 29 degrees! (Which is quite cold for a Californian, not a European!) We didn’t do any museums, or palaces, and opted for a simple walk around the old town, starting with St. Stephan’s Cathedral in middle of course. (Title: My 3rd Time going to Vienna! Also Wien is Vienna in German.)
