The day started off with a late morning check out from our lovely hotel in Dresden on the way to our next stop. The lovelt city of Prague, in the Czech Republic, which also goes by Czechia. The train ride there was absolutely stunning, as all along the tracks, the landscape along the Elbe was just fully blanketed in snow.
However, much to our dismay, after leaving our new hotel to wander around, we quickly found out the streets and sidewalks all over EVERYWHERE are just covered in slick and slippery mounds of snow and ice. And once again, it is so, so very very cold! Literally every step into the old town center could be a painful fall if you’re not careful! But finally we made it to the market in the town square which is surrounded by beautiful buildings giving wonderful sights, as a nice carol played, (presumable in Czech). The market was busy and active with tons and tons of people all around wandering around the center!
On our way back, we stopped in a few souvenir stores just to look and see what’s available. Unfortunately if it stays as slick and slippery everywhere as it was this evening it could really become a problem because we constantly had to look down to make sure we could step carefully!
