Clouds

Well, it happened. Exactly what I didn’t want to happen. Clouds… Gloomy, cloudy, foggy clouds. And rain. Lots of rain. Forecast said it was supposed to clear up. It never did. Said it’s supposed to be clear tomorrow, and had to delay some of my grand plans hoping the weather gets better.

Anyways I spent a lot of time walking around the town again, and going through the old town where there were a ton of people there for a general tent market set up for Sunday morning. Food tents, trinket and decoration tents, and including a really really foul smelling cheese trailer. There was also a marching band I saw a little ways outside of town. They were prepping and gathering on the sidewalk, and hilarious right as they marched in the street to begin several cars were unlucky enough to drive up at just the wrong time getting stuck behind the marchers.

Not for away is Adelsheim Palace, not sure what it used to be but it’s a mansion or something converted into a museum. It’s not big and grand like some of the other palaces, but it was super cheap and nice to spend some time in.

After that I walked along the road to the Salzbergwerk – some might remember being the famous Berchtesgaden salt mine. I didn’t do the tour again, or put on the miner’s outfit, but I paid a much needed visit to the gift shop. Salt. Lots of salt. So much salt. Lifetimes of salt! When I got out of the shop it was raining… The whole day I was hoping it would clear up so I could go visit one of my planned stops and not have it be super completely foggy, cloudy and totally covered up. The featured image shows Berchtesgaden in the morning, the cloud and fog cover got much worse very quickly.

Photos here.

My laptop has been getting progressively worse and just being slower at everything so I probly won’t be able to upload all the images I want.
