The Stores! They’re Open!

Oh man is it nice when the entire country doesn’t shut down at 6pm. Well, I left Freiburg today, and since I accomplished all I set out to do in Germany, *snickers* I moved on and left. For real though, the trains today were miserable. I was supposed to end up taking 1 single train to my next stop. After delays and train cancellations I ended up having to take 5 different trains to go a rather short distance. But at least I finally made it, total delays totaled 90 minutes, but having to switch trains all those times was a real pain.

So, I am in my next city! Zürich, Switzerland! My first time ever visiting this country and it’s quite nice! I didn’t get to do much besides walk around the “old town” and visit a few churches, and it started raining very hard including numerous lightning bolts lighting up the sky followed by booming thunder. So far it’s a pretty neat city! Since I’m not in Germany, there is no blasted Ladenschlussgesetz forcing stores to close early! But my god is Switzerland expensive, holy hell. Just wow. A simple fast food meal is about $12 US. Everything is sooooooooooooo expensive. Even a little trinket in a gift shop might make Buffet or Gates think twice if they don’t want to go broke.

Now since this is such a short post, I’ll add a German city with a goofy name. today’s silly city name is: Marktoberdorf.
