I will keep this brief, because it was a short day, and I still have another post to do after this one. Stupid hotel in Bonn…
I wanted to take it easy, so I got a late start and took a tram out of Bonn to the city of Konigswinter to go to a “SEA LIFE Aquarium” which is a chain of cool aquariums around Germany. I went to the SEA LIFE in Munich last time. It’s a really neat, partially underground aquarium with lots of cool displays, including the weirdest fish I have ever seen. I’ve seen a lot of fish… and a lot of crazy, weird and freaky fish, and this one is definitely the top of the weird list.
When I got back I went to Bonn University to learn me good. But really it was to go to the small Egyptian History Museum. Just a 1 room (semi large room) with lots and lots of neat ancient Egyptian artifacts.
Also, because I passed through the city of Wuppertal on my way to get to Bonn, Wuppertal earns my ire as the city with a goofy name. It’s not really such a goofy name, the name just annoys me for some reason. The only redeeming quality of the city is it’s public transport. But not because of it’s efficiency, it’s because what it is. The city doesn’t used a standard train, or bus, or tram that runs along a cable, it uses suspended railcars that hang from above. Like a level/flat suspended roller coaster. Google it! ‘wuppertal trams’
