Leipzig, Day 2

A relatively uneventful day, except for 3 separate rain showers, my umbrella from Berlin has been the most useful thing I got. Went wandering throigh more of the city, doing what little shopping I could due to Sunday’s closure of 90%  of the stores in Germany. Spent some time in in the horrifying Middle Ages criminal museum full of horrible instruments of torture. A while later went through the neat Egyptian museum which ad all kinds of displays, statues, a few mummies and lots of jewelry and pottery. Also visited the house of some music composer from a long time ago. Not Bach or Beethoven though. Oh, and I went to see a Russian orthodox church and a weird ‘Bavarian Train Station’.

This year also happens to be Leipzig’s millenium anniversary, having officially been founded in the year 1015, though it existed as a trading stop since Rome ruled Europe.

That’s about it. Gute Nacht. Good night.

I'm pretty sure that statue is illegally performing that salute.

Ouch...

The Bavarian station, what makes it Bavarian? I have no idea.
